Most kindly and tenderly we are to teach that he who would be healed must cease to transgress the law of God. He must cease to choose a life of sin.
God cannot bless the one who continues to bring upon himself disease and suffering by a willful violation of the laws of heaven. But Christ, through the Holy Spirit, comes as a healing power to those who cease to do evil and learn to do well.

Nature is God's physician
The pure air, the glad [invigorating] sunshine, the beautiful flowers and trees, the orchards and vineyards, and outdoor exercise amid these surroundings, are health-giving the elixir of life. Outdoor life is the only medicine that many invalids need.

Curing the Body through the Mind
A great deal of the sickness which afflicts humanity has its origin in the mind. And there are very many more people than we imagine who are sick mentally. For example, a sore, sick grieving heart, or a discouraged mind can create chronic indigestion, for mental trouble has a paralyzing influence upon the digestive organs.
Diseases that are caused by the mind can only be cured by restoring the mind to health. But how can a physician restore a dysfunctional mind to a healthy mind? First of all great wisdom will be needed by the physician for him/her to cure the body through the mind. Secondly, the physician must have discernment, patience, kindness, and love, for a sore, sick heart, and a discouraged mind, needs mild treatment, and it is through tender sympathy that fragile minds can be healed.
But most importantly the physician should first gain the confidence of the patient and then point them to the all-healing Physician - Christ our Creator and Redeemer. If these burdened minds can be directed to the Burden Bearer and they can have faith that He loves them and has an interest in them, the cure of their diseased bodies and minds will be sure.

Foundation of Good Health
Thousands need and would gladly receive instruction concerning the simple methods of treating the sick, methods that are taking the place of the use of poisonous drugs.
One of the first things we must teach them is that wrong habits of eating and the use of unhealthful food are in no small degree responsible for the intemperance and crime and wretchedness that curse the world. Then encourage the people to study that marvelous organism, the human system, and the divine laws by which it is governed.

The Healing Energy of Will Power
The power of the will is not valued as it should be. Let the will be kept awake and rightly directed, and it will impart energy to the whole being and will be a wonderful aid in the maintenance of health. It is a power also in dealing with the disease. Exercised in the right direction, it would control the imagination, and be a potent means of resisting and overcoming disease of both mind and body. By the exercise of willpower in placing themselves in the right relation to life, patients can do much to co-operate with the physician's efforts for their recovery. There are thousands who can recover health if they will. The Lord does not want them to be sick. He desires them to be well and happy, and they should make up their minds to be well.

How a Positive Mind-set can Help us Heal
To my fellow shot-injured or shed-injured Friends. Our injuries are not imaginary but real. Ponder these statements:
The relation that exists between the mind and the body is very intimate. When one is affected, the other sympathizes.
The condition of the mind affects health to a far greater degree than many realize. Many of the diseases from which men suffer are the result of mental depression. Grief, anxiety, discontent, remorse, guilt, and distrust, all tend to break down the life forces and invite decay and death.
The disease is sometimes produced and is often greatly aggravated, by the imagination. Many are lifelong invalids who might be well if they only thought so.
Many imagine that every slight exposure will cause illness, and the evil effect is produced because it is expected. Many die from disease, the cause of which is wholly imaginary.
Courage, hope, faith, sympathy, and love, promote health and prolong life.
A contented mind, and a cheerful spirit, are health to the body and strength to the soul. "A merry [rejoicing] heart doeth good like a medicine." Proverbs 17:22.
In the treatment of the sick, the effect of mental influence should not be overlooked. Rightly used, this influence affords one of the most effective agencies for combating disease

Health a Treasure
Health is a great treasure. It is the richest possession mortals can have. Wealth, honor, or learning is dearly purchased if it be at the loss of the vigor of health. None of these attainments can secure happiness if health is wanting. It is a terrible sin to abuse the health that God has given us; for every abuse of health enfeebles us for life and makes us losers, even if we gain any amount of education.

Promoting Happiness
The great object of health reform is to secure the highest possible development of mind, soul, and body. All the laws of nature-which are the laws of God-are designed for our good. Obedience to them will promote our happiness in this life and will aid us in preparation for the life to come.

A Godly Physician Can Save not Only a Life but a Soul for Eternity
In cases of dangerous illness, the afflicted one feels that he is at the mercy of the physician. He looks to that physician as his only earthly hope, and the physician should ever point the trembling soul to One who is greater than himself, even the Son of God, who gave His life to save him from death, who pities the sufferer, and who by His divine power will give skill and wisdom to all who ask Him.
When the patient does not know how his case will turn, is the right time for the physician to impress the mind. He should not do this with a desire to distinguish himself, but that he may point the soul to Christ as a personal Saviour. If the life is spared, there is a soul for that physician to watch for. The patient feels that the physician is the very life of his life. And to what purpose should this great confidence be employed? Always to win a soul to Christ and magnify the power of Go.
On the sickbed Christ is often accepted and confessed; and this will be done oftener in the future than it has been in the past, for a quick work will the Lord do in our world. Words of wisdom are to be on the lips of the physician, and Christ will water the seed sown, causing it to bring forth fruit unto eternal life.

Don't let Appetite rule Reason
Reason, instead of being the ruler, has come to be the slave of appetite to an alarming extent. An increasing desire for rich food. If you don't know what is in your hand or the effects of it on your life don't put it in your mouth.
"Since the first surrender to appetite (by Eve and Adam), mankind has been growing more and more self-indulgent, until health has been sacrificed on the altar of appetite. The inhabitants of the antediluvian world were intemperate in eating and drinking. They would have flesh meats, although God had at that time given man no permission to eat animal food. They ate and drank till the indulgence of their depraved appetite knew no bounds, and they became so corrupt that God could bear with them no longer. Their cup of iniquity was full, and He cleansed the earth of its moral pollution by a flood."

The All Purpose Exercise: Walking.
Walking, in all cases where it is possible, is the best remedy for diseased bodies because in this exercise all the organs of the body are brought into use. No exercise can take the place of walking. By it, the circulation of the blood is greatly improved.

Tribute to Faithful Physicians
The duties of the physician are arduous. Few realize the mental and physical strain to which he is subjected. Every energy and capability must be enlisted with the most intense anxiety in the battle with disease and death.
Often he knows that one unskillful movement of the hand, even but a hair's breadth in the wrong direction, may send a soul unprepared into eternity.
How much the faithful physician needs the sympathy and prayers of the people of God. His claims in this direction are not inferior to those of the most devoted minister or missionary worker.
Deprived, as he often is, of needed rest and sleep, and even of religious privileges on the Sabbath, he needs a double portion of grace, a fresh supply daily, or he will lose his hold on God and will be in danger of sinking deeper in spiritual darkness than men of other callings.
And yet often he is made to bear unmerited reproaches and is left to stand alone, the subject of Satan's fiercest temptations, feeling himself misunderstood, betrayed by his friends.

Things Money Can't Buy
The meekness and lowliness of Christ is the Christian's power. And these virtues are priceless. So is good health. They are indeed more precious than all things that genius can create or wealth can buy. Of all things that are sought, cherished, and cultivated, there is nothing so valuable in the sight of God as a pure heart, a disposition imbued with thankfulness and peace. Only our Creator and Redeemer can provide these graces to us - changing us and transforming society.
Helping Hands of the Great Physician
Everyone in whose heart Christ abides, everyone who will show forth His love to the world, is a worker together with God for the blessing of humanity. As he receives from the Saviour grace to impart to others, from his whole being flows forth the tide of spiritual life - a font of healing waters.
Christ came as the Great Physician to heal the wounds that sin has made in the human family, and His Spirit, working through His servants, imparts to sin-sick, suffering human beings a mighty healing power that is efficacious for the body and the soul.
"In that day," says the Scripture, "there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness." Zechariah 13:1. The waters of this fountain contain medicinal properties that will heal both physical and spiritual infirmities.

The Work of a True Physician: To Teach the Patient to Obey God's Natural Laws
"The physician needs more than human wisdom and power that he may know how to minister to the many perplexing cases of disease of the mind and heart with which he is called to deal. If he is ignorant of the power of divine grace, he cannot help the afflicted one, but will aggravate the difficulty; but if he has a firm hold upon God, he will be able to help the diseased, distracted mind. He will be able to point his patients to Christ and teach them to carry all their cares and perplexities to the great Burden Bearer.
There is a divinely appointed connection between sin and disease. No physician can practice for a month without seeing this illustrated. He may ignore the fact; his mind may be so occupied with other matters that his attention will not be called to it; but if he will be observing and honest, he cannot help acknowledging that sin and disease bear to each other the relationship of cause and effect.
The physician should be quick to see this and act accordingly. When he has gained the confidence of the afflicted by relieving their sufferings and bringing them back from the verge of the grave, he may teach them that disease is the result of sin, and that it is the fallen foe who seeks to allure them to health and soul destroying practices.
He may impress their minds with the necessity of denying self and obeying the laws of life and health. In the minds of the young especially he may instill right principles. God loves His creatures with a love that is both tender and strong. He has established the laws of nature, but His laws are not arbitrary exactions.
Every "Thou shalt not," whether in physical or moral law, contains or implies a promise. If it is obeyed, blessings will attend our steps; if it is disobeyed, the result is danger and unhappiness. The laws of God are designed to bring His people closer to Himself. He will save them from the evil and lead them to the good if they will be led; but force them He never will."
Physicians who love and fear God are few. Let us search for them. And use them for they will lead us to the True Physician who can heal body and soul.

Can't make a person think
Ponder this thought when people spurn the natural remedies you try to share with them - cheer up, the problem may be at their end not yours:
"You can give a person knowledge, but you can't make them think... some people want to remain fools, only because the truth requires change"
Leo Tolstoy coined these two phrases worth pondering: "Most people would rather die than change their habits." and "Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself,"
When Pain is Gain
Those who are feeble and indolent should not yield to their inclination to be inactive, thus depriving themselves of air and sunlight, but should practice exercising out of doors in walking or working in the garden. They will become very much fatigued, but this will not injure them.... It is not a good policy to give up the use of certain muscles because pain is felt when they are exercised.
The pain is frequently caused by the effort of nature to give life and vigor to those parts that have become partially lifeless through inaction. The motion of these long-disused muscles will cause pain because nature is awakening them to life.

Nancy's cancer testimony
I was diagnosed with cancer 16 years ago. I told my Doctor I would not do a bone marrow test nor would I do Chemo or radiation. He told me I would only live one year! I told him no I would change my lifestyle dramatically. I did and I am cancer-free. I read the book "Lick The Sugar Habit" by Dr Nancy Appleton and did her "colon cleanser diet" for 8 months and healed. And drank Barley Green 2-4 times a day. This is what has given me the courage to go through this present vaccine injury. I know I can heal from my past experience.
Where do we place our trust? In God's Remedies or the Pill?
Drug medication, as it is generally practiced, is a curse. Educate away from drugs. Use them less and less, and depend more upon hygienic agencies; then nature will respond to God's physicians - pure air, pure water, proper exercise, a clear conscience. Those who persist in the use of tea, coffee, and flesh meats will feel the need of drugs, but many might recover without one grain of medicine if they would obey the laws of health. Drugs need seldom be used. Counsels on Health 261.
